Newsletter – March 2017

In 2015, Muktangan approached Antarang with the idea of opening up the world of careers and futures to their 8th graders. After intensive brainstorming with a group of children, educators and some extensive research, Antarang developed an engaging career awareness program to cater for children as young as 12 years of age. Titled the World of Exposure (WoE), this year-long intervention program not only fulfils the need of a weekly counselling hour in the school, it also gets children to think about careers and their futures in an informed, engaging and entertaining manner.

Antarang Foundation envisions a world where every young person is passionately, productively and positively engaged in a vocation of their choice. In the next 2 years, we are hoping to reach out to 50,000 young individuals across Mumbai, Pune and surrounding areas, with an aspiration to add INR 28 crores to family incomes annually.

Newsletter – January 2017

The new year began with new hopes, new energy, new discoveries, new lessons and the indomitable Antarang spirit! To mark India's Youth Day (also Swami Vivekananda's birthday), we took a deep dive into the minds and hearts of our youth to learn what they think about key issues facing our nation today, and how it all a ects them. And this will set the tone for our program maps for the rest of the year.

The December edition of the Antarang newsletter looks back on some of the milestones we achieved in 2016. So much happened at Antarang last month, not sure how to fit it all into one newsletter! We celebrated International Youth Day and Friendship Day, learnt how to code HTML, and held workshops and discussions on the very serious topics of sexual abuse and women in leadership. And all this along with completing a batch, starting 3 new batches and organising an Alumni meet! In short, August was AWESOME!
